Each petal is shaped and painted individually by Amy to create life-like flowers and leaves from gum paste and food coloring.  The product line consists of flowers such as orchids, roses, lilies and daisies, with appropriate foliage that can be painted a variety of colors to suit any cake color scheme.  Flowers can be attached to a cake individually or combined for a grand flowing effect on a tiered cake. 


Many clients want the look of a fresh floral display on their cakes, but are concerned with the chemicals and pesticides found in commercial flower growth.  Using sugar flowers from the Shop is a safe alternative while maintaining the desired aesthetic.  As an added benefit, sugar flowers will not wilt.  They can be preserved for years to come as a display under glass or in a simple box keeping the flowers dust and moisture free.

Each arrangement created at Sugar Flower Shop is an unique work of art.  Some  of our clients prefer to have their flowers put on permanent display.  The Shop sells complete arrangements in beautiful wood and glass cases to feature at home or to give as gifts, even after they are used on a cake.


Sugar Flower Shop flowers can be individually packaged and shipped anywhere in the United States via the United States Postal Service or UPS for clients wishing to bake or provide their own cakes.  Some arrangements have traveled to destination weddings outside of the country.  Larger arrangements and full-scale cakes are infinitely more fragile, requiring personal delivery or customer pick-up within the Hudson Valley or greater New York metropolitan area.
